Job Description & Job Specification
Position: Junior Field Executive (Grade-I)
Employment Type: Fixed Term
Post Code: 40/01/FTE
Age Limit: Not more than 25 years as on the date of advertisement
Qualification:
- B.Sc (Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) with minimum 60% OR
- Diploma (Chemical/Petrochemical) with minimum 60% OR
- M.Sc (Chemistry) candidates may also apply, but only B.Sc is considered requisite qualification
- Preferable: Apprenticeship training in respective trade
- All courses must be full-time from recognized institutions
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months in Chemical / Fertilizer / Petrochemical industry preferred
- Apprenticeship / Training period excluded
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plant visits and routine activities as per SOPs in coordination with Shift In-charge
- Collect readings/samples and maintain process parameter logs
- Take corrective actions for abnormalities and report to DCS/Panel/Shift In-charge
- Follow instructions during emergencies or deviations
- Isolation/purging of equipment in line with safety and environment norms
- Field operations of pumps, compressors, cooling towers, blowers, fans, etc.
- Monitor and maintain parameters of running equipment/pipelines
- Working knowledge of chemical storage/handling
- Maintain operation-related log sheets/registers
Safety & Environment Care:
- Use prescribed PPEs and follow safe practices
- Prevent environmental damage and minimize wastage
- Report near-miss accidents/unsafe conditions
Housekeeping:
- Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of wastes in plant areas
Improvement:
- Suggest process improvements
- Learn/adopt new working techniques
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of unit operations, heat transfer, mass transfer, static and rotating equipment
- Computer operation skills
- Event/incident reporting
- Handling operational emergencies
Work Conditions:
- Plant-based role with rotating shifts
- Must be willing to respond to emergencies at all times
Remuneration:
- Monthly lump-sum remuneration as per company norms
Job Location:
- Current: Sikka Unit (At & Po: Motikhavdi, Dist. Jamnagar)
- May be placed at other units/departments/depots of the company
