Job Purpose
The Field Executive will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. The role involves ensuring smooth plant operations, maintaining equipment reliability, and supporting production targets while strictly following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out day-to-day field activities in accordance with company policies, procedures, SOPs, and operating standards.
2. Monitor the condition and performance of plant equipment through regular field inspections and report any abnormalities or equipment-related issues.
3. Operate and monitor field equipment as per approved operating procedures and maintain all required HSEF records and documentation.
4. Support the Shift Superintendent in monitoring process parameters and coordinate with the maintenance team whenever equipment or operational issues are identified.
5. Carry out proper equipment handover and takeover while strictly following PTW and LOTO procedures.
6. Collect and send process samples to the laboratory for testing and carry out gas testing using portable gas detection instruments whenever required.
7. Maintain accurate shift logs and operational records, including equipment status, process conditions, and important observations.
8. Monitor the availability of operational spares and consumables and maintain proper inventory records.
9. Maintain good housekeeping in the assigned area and ensure the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
10. Respond effectively to plant emergencies and participate as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad when required.
11. Develop a good understanding of rotary equipment, including mechanical seal systems, lubrication systems, and operating conditions.
12. Understand the operation and status of various types of valves and field equipment.
13. Be familiar with field instruments, their locations, functions, and operating conditions.
Safety and Risk Management
1. Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks before starting any job or operational activity.
2. Perform all process and field activities in accordance with established safety procedures and operating standards.
3. Identify and report near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective actions.
4. Ensure compliance with company systems and standards such as IMS, ISO, TQM, OMS, PSM, QCC, and 5S.
5. Strictly follow LOTO, nitrogen gas safety, line-breaking, and other applicable safety procedures.
6. Maintain a strong safety culture and contribute to preventing incidents and unsafe conditions in the plant.
Educational Qualification
Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
Experience
Up to 3 years of experience in plant or site operations, preferably in a Field Executive or similar operational role.
Desired Knowledge and Competencies
The candidate should have basic knowledge of plant and unit operations, process parameters, field equipment, work permit procedures, plant hazards and their control measures, emergency handling, and process safety.
The candidate should also demonstrate good problem-solving ability, communication skills, teamwork, discipline, and a strong commitment to safe working practices.

- Near-miss identification and reporting
- Identification and reporting of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions

- Prevention of operational deviations and violations
- Workplace incident monitoring and reporting
- Regular field rounds and maintenance of SD job register entries
- Maintaining proper plant housekeeping standards
